Things I wasn’t prepared for when my dad passed:

Things I wasn’t prepared for when my dad passed Random remembering the memories and all the fun we had The random grief and sadness and pain never
ends Realizing I’ll never see him again and all I wanti+ a hug from him Just wanting to pick up the phone and call him but I can’t

I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that my dad is gone. There were so many things I wasn’t ready for when he passed—those sudden waves of memories that come crashing in at the most unexpected times. I find myself randomly remembering the fun we used to have, the laughter, the silly moments, and it’s bittersweet because those memories now also bring a deep ache. The grief hits like a punch in the stomach out of nowhere; the sadness and pain feel never-ending, like a shadow I can’t escape. What hurts the most is realizing I’ll never get to see him again, never get to hear his voice or see his smile. All I want is one more hug from him, just to feel that comfort and love one last time. Sometimes I catch myself reaching for the phone, wanting to call him, to tell him something or just hear him say “hello,” but then I remember—he’s not there anymore. The emptiness is overwhelming and some days are harder than others, but I carry his memory with me every moment. Missing him is a constant ache, but I try to hold on to the love we shared. #Grief #Loss #MissingDad #Heartbroken #NeverReady #Pain #Sadness #Memories #ForeverInMyHeart #DadLove #UnseenPain #EmptyArms #LoveLost #Healing #Emotional #Family #Goodbye #ForeverMissed #BreaksMyHeart #RememberingDad
